Acclaimed cross-genre violinist and composer Jenny Scheinman brings a world-class ensemble to kick off The New Jewish Music Series. Performing music from her forthcoming release inspired by stories of her Jewish grandmother’s remarkable life in 1930s Europe — from the cabarets of Berlin and encounters with Django Reinhardt to the emergence of early jazz taking shape around her.
Thanks to generous donations from sponsors Capital University Conservatory of Music, A Tribe for Jazz, and Temple Israel, tickets to this inaugural performance will be free of charge.
