Emerging from New York’s downtown creative music scene in the 1990s, this language has continued to evolve across generations, ensembles, and approaches — from jazz and chamber music to Afrobeat, world fusion, and experimental forms.
The NEW JEWISH MUSIC Series brings exceptional artists to Columbus creating a new platform for adventurous Jewish music that is rarely presented in the Midwest.
Launched in 2026, the series is built through collaboration with local arts, educational, and community organizations, with the goal of bringing this music to broader audiences, celebrating contemporary Jewish culture and sharing it with our friends and neighbors.
