EDEN LADIN TRIO

Israeli-born pianist and composer Eden Ladin has emerged as a distinctive voice in contemporary jazz, blending harmonic sophistication and lyricism, introspection and melodic beauty with moments of rhythmic intensity.

Ladin has performed and recorded with many leading figures in contemporary jazz, including Omer Avital, Ari Hoenig, Wallace Roney, Avishai Cohen and Myron Walden. His 2017 debut album, Yequm — Hebrew for “universe” — introduced a unique compositional voice shaped by his experiences traveling between New York and Tel Aviv. Critics have noted the Middle Eastern tonality and Jewish folkloric elements that run through the music alongside jazz, rock and electronic influences.

For this special performance, the trio will be joined by Columbus’s own Cantor Bat-Ami Moses of Temple Israel, an accomplished vocalist with an extensive professional background in musical theater, including off-Broadway and regional stages.
